What is Platelet Rich Plasma?
PRP is a concentrated source of autologous platelets, which contains numerous growth factors that are harvested from your own blood, and then reintroduced into your skin. This causes collagen synthesis and skin rejuvenation.
What is SmartXide
SmartXide is a fractional CO2 laser that is used to improve skin texture and tone aas well as tightening areas of loose skin. The laser removes a customised pattern of dots from the surface of the skin. As these micro wounds heal they immediately tighten the skin and stimulate collagen formation over the next 6 months.
What Is The Process Of Neck Rejuvenation With PRP & SmartXide?
During a SmartXide treatment, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin for 20-25 minutes. The patients blood is then taking and placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma from the red blood cells. Whilst the blood is in the centrifuge the area is lasered. This ensures that the skin is ready as soon as the PRP is at it’s optimum.
The micro wounds caused by the laser serve as small conduits to the deep dermis which allows a topically applied product to work. In this case the PRP. The application of PRP also means that the skin heals much quicker than in the past. Visible results will not be immediate. You will see some swelling and redness. Over 3 weeks, however, the PRP stimulation and healing will gradually improve the texture and tone of your skin, and this improvement will continue over time.
