Teosyal Covering Repair For After Rehydration Fillers

Following rehydration filler treatment, it is fairly common for some patients to experience some degree of redness or bruising. This is down to the nature of the treatment which involves administering multiple pin pricks of this finer, thiner rehydration filler.

Teosyal a company which produces the filler have recently launched a range of complementary makeup products for concealing the redness and bruising. Made in Switzerland – this range is also great for sensitive skin. These products are receiving great press and have been nominated for awards for their effectiveness. They all have anti-ageing properties, as the products contain Hyaluronic acid, renowned for its youth enhancing benefits.

Teosyal Covering Repair Concealer

In the range is a 4 shade covering repair concealer, which is a makeup containing hyaluronic acid. It is suitable for covering redness, dark spots, under eye circles and also for post wrinkle injection treatment. The four shades mean that you can get exactly the right colour for your skin tone, as well as covering up any post treatment redness or bruising . It is fairly common for patients to excperience some degree of redness or brusing, which is down to the nature of the treatment. The treatment involves administering multiple pin pricks of the finer, thiner rehydration filler.

This make up will appear to be thinner than others but this is because it does not dry the skin out. Too heavy and it would be quite obvious and noticeably sit on top of the skin. The hydrating nature and smooth application of this product means it sits invisibly on the surface of the skin whilst at the same time providing skin with great coverage.

For larger areas there is a sponge, which you can use to ‘dab’ the product lightly on to the imperfections. Then use a concealer brush to apply the product to smaller areas such as under eye circles and blemishes and blend the product gently into the skin. Make sure your brush is not too hard though. If the bristles aren’t soft enough you could irritate the skin, this is especially important if you have recently had treatment.

The Teosyal Covering Repair Kit is great for honeymoons and holidays as the palette of colours means you can always have the right colour makeup- even with a tan. The unique formula means imperfections are subtly and effectively corrected. Leaving skin looking enhanced, bright and radiant.

Ammunition against ageing

Anti-ageing creams are big business. However, while all promise miracle results, what are the ingredients to look out for that could actually make a difference? After all, a skin product is only as good as what goes in it.

Coenzyme Q10

This is a nutrient that helps to regulate cell energy production, and can help to protect against sun damage as well as help reduce the appearance of fine lines. Unlike some harsher ingredients, it’s safe to use on your eye area to help with crow’s feet.

Retinol

This is also known as Vitamin A, and has anti-oxidant properties. It’s often used in many non-prescription skin creams. The anti-oxidant effects of this cream help to fight free radicals, which are responsible for many signs of ageing.

Copper Peptides

Copper peptides combine trace elements of copper with small pieces of protein, which can help to boost collagen production in your skin. This can give a plumper, fuller complexion as well as boosting anti-oxidants.

Hydroxy Acids

There are a few types of hydroxyl acids, but they all work in similar ways. Each works to exfoliate your skin, removing the outer layer of dead cells revealing smoother, fresher skin, as well as helping this new skin to grow.

Tea Extracts

You might have heard of the tea-bag-on-the-eyes trick to reduce tiredness, and tea extracts work on the same principle. They reduce inflammation and contain anti-oxidants, which helps to get rid of free radicals.

So called miracle creams can often be expensive, and quite frequently don’t fulfil all their promises. If you’re looking for a more reliable way to fight wrinkles, Natura’s gold standard anti-wrinkle treatments can give you a younger looking complexion. From dermal fillers to laser skin tightening and skin resurfacing, you can tailor your treatment plan to suit your skin.

Natura have a full range of cosmetic treatments, and will a free skin evaluation for all patients, you can get helpful advice to get the fresh, youthful skin you’re looking for.

Power up your lip-plumping

Do you wish you had plumper, more voluptuous lips? You’re definitely not alone, as this is one area that many women would love to improve on, including a few of us in the Natura office. While we can’t all get Angelina Jolie’s trademark pout, there are a few things we can do to make the most of what we’ve got.

Lip liners are often a bit of a makeup minefield, but they can increase the depth of your lips as well as defining their shape. It can also help to stop lipstick smudging and stop colour bleeding out the edges. Make sure to pick a shade as close to your lipstick as possible, and make sure your lips don’t have any lip balm or lip stick already applied. This will help the lip liner cling to your skin and will last longer.

There are also lip glosses that contain ingredients like caffeine, cinnamon and pepper that can stimulate the lip, making them swell slightly and giving a fuller appearance. The added ingredients are meant to make your lips plump up, as well as being giving a tingly sensation.

You can also get lip treatment serums that are similar to cosmetic treatments. The serum is applied straight onto the lips, and boosts blood flow with its collagen enhancing properties. There are a few of these available, so you’ll need a bit of trial and error to find one that works for you.

There are also cosmetic treatments that can help with lip sculpturing and plumping. At Natura, we can precisely apply dermal fillers to increase volume, add definition, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and help give you more proportion if you have thinner lips.

If you want to boost your pouting power there are a range of options which can give you plump and delicious looking lips.

Bee Venom Face Mask

If you’re looking for a face treatment to ease the appearance of lines and wrinkles, there are a lot of choices on the market. One of the more unusual ones around is bee venom facials – endorsed by celebrities and the Duchess of Cornwall alike, we were interested to know what the buzz was all about.

These masks do actually use bee venom as their main ingredient. There are no stings attached however, and it is being touted as an organic alternative to botox treatments. Though botox might offer more targeted treatments for fine lines, bee venom masks have some real benefits for your complexion.

The venom is extracted from the bees, without harming them of course, then refined, purified and tested, before being incorporated into a rejuvenating face mask. Each pot of bee venom facial cream contains upwards of 10,000 stings per pot.

When you apply the facial cream, your skin will react as if it has been stung – thankfully without you feeling the attached pain – which increases blood flow which stimulates cell growth and regeneration.

There are a lot of lovely benefits from these facials. Straight after applying it, you’ll have softer, smoother skin, and your complexion will feel visibly firmer. It can also reduce redness, shrink pores, and of course fight wrinkles.

This is a deep penetrating skin treatment, which helps with cell regeneration and repairing damaged cells. Some of varieties also combine the bee venom with manuka honey, which has its own antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Celebrities that are rumoured to be fans include Kylie Minogue, Victoria Beckham and Kate Middleton, as well as Camilla. At around £50 per treatment, the bees don’t come cheap – however, it’s one mask that does have a beauty buzz around it.

If you’re looking for bee-dazzling skin, then this could be a treatment worth trying.

SIN care

We all know that ageing isn’t just down to your age – it’s about your lifestyle too. Though the skin products you use will probably be based on your skin type and age, they don’t take into account the other factors that could be causing signs of ageing.

However, a new Australian skin company has launched a range of products targeting just that. Sin-Care takes care of all those skin care faux-pas that the average busy lifestyle is guilty of.

Sin-Care Booster SerumsLifestyle

Even the most expensive products won’t know if you’re stressed at work, not getting enough sleep, have a high sugar diet or live in a polluted city. However, Sin-Care beauty serums cater for all these and more.

You can pick the product suitable for your beauty ‘sins’ and then incorporate it into your beauty regime. The serums are packed full of intensely nourishing essential acids and natural ingredients, which are handpicked to tackle the specific lifestyle impacts on your skin.

For example, Sin #5: Fatigue, is a concentrated booster with hyaluronic acid, pineapple, horsechestnut and lychee to moisturise, tackle fine lines, puffiness and tackle free radicals. Rather than aiming at a specific age range or skin type, this product is ideal for insomniacs, shift workers, new mothers and party goers.

There are similar formulas for sun damage, high sugar diets, stress, sports fatigue, city living, smoking and those with little time for anti wrinkle treatments.

Treatment Options

If you want to target the effects of lifestyle on your skin, Natura also have targeted skin treatments which can reduce the appearance of skin damage from everyday living.

We offer skin pigmentation and sun damage laser treatments to give you an even and glowing skin tone. Multi-layer skin rejuvenation can target the texture of your skin as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Our skin resurfacing treatments can also reduce large pores, brown spots, poor texture and a whole range of other effects.

If you want to reduce the effects of your busy lifestyle on your skin, there are many treatment options available.

Do nature and beauty mix?

We’ve all seen the fish pedicures that are now ten a penny on most UK high streets. However, this sparked an interesting conversation today in the Natura office – what other wildlife is used in beauty treatments? We’ve had a bit of a look around – and reckon you’ll be surprised with our findings!

Snails

Snails are not just that pest ruining your vegetable garden. Their ‘snail serum’ is used in a variety of beauty products. The secretion used is what leaves the silver trails when they move, and is usually gathered from live snails – without them being harmed in the process. The powerful biological properties of this serum are used to relieve skin conditions such as acne, and can reduce wrinkles and improve dull complexions.

Pigs

Okay, so this only uses a part of pigs – their trotters – but we thought it was worth a mention, even though it’s definitely not one for the squeamish eaters amongst us. Eating pigs’ trotters began as an anti-ageing fad in Japan, but has spread to New York. They are rich in collagen, which we all know is important in banishing wrinkles and ensuring smooth and supple skin. There are restaurants in Japan which specialise in this ‘collagen cuisine’, claiming long term effects for both your hair and your skin.

Birds

The bird poo facial – yes, you did read that right – again originated in Japan, but is now available in both New York and London. This facial mask is made of UV dried bird droppings, mixed with rice bran and water. There are claims it produces fresh and glowing skin… but this is one treatment that we might give a wide berth.

So, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there are plenty of options. However, if you’re happy with a wild-life free beauty regime, there’s always Natura’s skin rejuvenating treatments and other procedures that can give you brilliant, natural results – whilst leaving the ‘nature’ out of the treatment room!

Vintage Style Swimwear Makes A Comeback

In a scene in the 1956 film, High Society, Grace Kelly kneels poolside pushing a model boat, True Love, across the still water. She wore a white halter-neck swimsuit, which ended with a short white, ruffled skirt. Never had the swimsuit seemed so elegant.

Swimwear trends don’t move in quite the same cycles as other fashion trends. That’s because it’s hard to reinvent the bikini or swimsuit: the need to balance functionality and design means that designers are limited to what they can actually do. So it would seem that many designers are drawing on vintage styles from the 1950-1960’s as inspiration for their collections this season.

Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection featured pristine, white understated swimwear, reminiscent of Grace’s in High Society.

With summer just around the corner, the high street is full of swimwear already. But what do all women want to go with their new beach wear?

A beach body.

At Natura we can help you look great in any swimwear with our cellulite treatment, Velashape. Popular amongst celebrities and sports stars alike, this treatment delivers fantastic results.

How Does It Work?

It works by precision-heating the upper layers of the skin and the deeper tissue, while specially designed rollers massage the area, smoothing the skin and combating the appearance of cellulite. This system of light vacuum and deep massage increases the metabolism of stored energy, shrinks the fat cells and vastly improves lymphatic drainage, banishing unsightly lumps and bumps.

Available from March 21st prices start at £150 a treatment, with discounts on courses.

H2O

Okay, so we know we’re meant to drink lots of lovely water to help our skin. But what are the skin benefits of drinking water – and what are the effects of not getting enough?

As well as being a thirst quencher, water is of course essential for our bodies – the average human is made up of about 60% H2O. First off, water helps to circulate blood and fluids, as well as being vital in all the everyday processes, such as cell reproduction and repair. We lose water all the time from breathing, blinking, sweating and all manner of other activities.

Of course, we’re not here for a biology lesson – so how does water affect our skin?

Water controls and regulates the skin’s natural balance, which is made up of a number of layers of cells. These layers are dried out if lost water isn’t replaced. If you don’t keep rehydrating your skin, then it will become dehydrated and dull.

Most moisturisers only have external results and don’t penetrate deeply enough. However, if you do suffer from very dry skin then make sure to invest in a good moisturiser as well as drinking plenty of water. This can help stop moisture escaping from the skin in the first place.

Water’s a great way of flushing toxins and bacteria from your system. If your body doesn’t have enough water, then toxins will build up and can escape through the skin pores. This can be a contributory factor to acne or breakouts.

The general rule of thumb is eight glasses of water a day – though this doesn’t actually have any basis in real science. You do get some water from foods you digest, but it seems that eight glasses is a good number to aim for. Don’t overdo it though – the good effects of water won’t multiply if you drink gallons a day!

Results from drinking water won’t be overnight, but soon enough your complexion will be glowing – just in time for the summer sun.

Alleviate Migraines

Botox is one of the most well-known cosmetic treatments for fine lines and wrinkles. Though we might be familiar with its conventional uses, recently there have been calls for it to be available on the NHS for a very different purpose.

Botox has been found to have some positive effect on chronic migraines. No one quite knows why – but it could act as a muscle relaxant, blocking painful nerve signals.

Chronic migraines affect nearly 2% of adults in the UK. They involve having headaches for 15 days a month for 3 months, affecting people’s ability to work . With nausea, light sensitivity and vision distortion, they really can be severe and frustrating.

Though Botox has been shown to have some benefit, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence has called for more substantial evidence before recommending Botox as an NHS treatment.

Botox was approved in 2010 as a treatment for chronic migraine, but there needs to be greater certainty before it can be offered by the NHS on a wider basis – the placebo effect may be distorting positive results.

The cost effectiveness of Botox as a treatment could also be questioned. Top ups are often needed every few months which means a mounting expense for the NHS. However, if we factor in the cost of long term inability to work, it does begin to look more affordable.

Here at Natura, we’re always interested in new applications for existing treatments. A final decision on this use of Botox is expected in June, and we look forward to knowing the verdict.

Whether or not Botox is approved for migraines, it remains one of the most trusted cosmetic treatments for facial lines and unwanted sweating.

Natura remain committed to achieving natural and gradual results. With our range of treatments for fine lines and wrinkles, you can be sure to find an option that suits your individual needs.
