The James Bond film franchise celebrates its 50th anniversary with the release of Skyfall on 22 October. Skyfall will be the third film for current James Bond actor, Daniel Craig who has been signed up to play the super-spy in five of the films.

Craig is also set to star in the two ‘Millennuim’ films that follow ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’, and he is convinced the pressures could lead to premature ageing. He told the Press Association: “I’m going to be very old. Botox is going to be in there.”

For actors and actresses, who rely on their facial movement to deliver a convincing performance, achieving a natural look while reducing the signs of ageing is paramount. The best Botox results are achieved when the face is not completely frozen, a look that can leave people expressionless. Administering the Botox in specific areas can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and also provide gentle lift.

The 44 year-old actor, who wed actress Rachel Weisz, isn’t a complete stranger to cosmetic treatments. Following an accident on set whilst filming Quantum of Solace in 2005, the actor severed his fingertip and had eight stitches on his face after being accidentally kicked by a “Solace” co-star. “It’s a stupid inconvenience because we had to stop filming,” he said of the accident. “But they gave me an excellent plastic surgeon.” Craig is said to have undergone laser treatment to reduce the appearance of scars left behind after having the stiches removed.
